FAIR Fund’s third annual Signature Benefit, the Pearls of Purpose Gala, brought together over a hundred philanthropists, international guests, young professionals, and local girl beneficiaries of FAIR Fund's programs for a night of advocacy, inspiration, and fun.
Proceeds from the evening’s ticket sales, live and silent auction and raffle will help empower girls and young women between the ages of 13 and 25 from Russia, Serbia, Bosnia, and Washington, D.C who make up our JewelGirls program.
Pearls of Purpose 2009 featured the first annual Pearl Award presented to Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee for her service in assisting trafficked children, special remarks by Kenneth B. Morris, Founder and Director of the Frederick Douglass Family Foundation, a live auction of high quality items led by Brandis Griffith, of WJLA ABC-7, and a silent auction of handcrafted jewelry created by FAIR Fund’s own JewelGirls.
